  • DID NOT change your originally-assigned password: You may recover your password by using New Account Distribution Password Recovery.
  • CHANGED your originally-assigned password:

    • And you're any other member of the UVa community: Call (434) 924-3731 or email accounts@virginia.edu from a UVa email account.

Changing Your Password

You must know an existing password to be able to change it.

A Note about NetBadge: When a UVa website needs to know your identity, it automatically redirects you to NetBadge, which is not a UVa computing account. NetBadge can use your password from any of the following UVa systems: Eservices/UVa Exchange Service, Central Mail Service (CMS), Home Directory Service, blue.unix, or the HSC domain.

To control access to applications that use NetBadge, change the password to all of these accounts that you have.
