This is the home of ITC's "Wintel" microcomputer support information.

Windows 2000: Here is the information we have in support of Microsoft's Operating System for the business user. Do not confuse this with Microsoft Office 2000. The number is the same, and the company is the same, but Windows 2000 is an operating system while Office 2000 is a collection of applications, including Word and Excel. ITC is no longer testing versions of new software on this older platform, and will be ending user support of this platform on August 1, 2007.

Windows XP: Windows XP comes in both Home and Professional versions. Most services at UVa will function with either version. Note that at this time the Integrated System is not certified for use with Windows XP.
