ITC Research Computing Support Center

Overview

Research Computing Support facilitates the research activities of faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, and staff. Our two locations—

—provide researchers with places to explore research technologies and receive assistance with specialized hardware and software from Research Computing and Library Support staff.

Both labs are staffed by members of the Research Computing Support Staff, Library staff, and advanced students. They provide online, walk-in, and telephone support for research, statistical, scientific, and high performance computing questions.

You can also get help from us using our online help system.

Software Distribution

Research Computing Support distributes over 20 statistical, mathematical, scientific visualization and other academic software packages for use at the University of Virginia and most are available for free. For additional information about what software packages are distributed by RCS, please see our software distribution page or visit our software licenses site for complete information about licensed software packages at UVa.
